I'm a bit of an odd duck.
I've never been asked what tools I use, but if you're interested see below.
Hardware
12.9” iPad Pro (2018)
By deint of being a hobbyist programmer mostly involved in web development the iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard provides a great 'thin-client' for mosh, tmux, and Vim to work their magic.
Apple 13" Intel MacBook Pro (2019) with broken screen
I use Screens to connect to this device to run the iOS simulator when building a React Native app.
Development tools
Vim
I use Vim but I'm not a Vim expert. I am fast enough in Vim, but I have used other editors including VS Code.
Blink
Blink is the best terminal client/remote shell for iOS I've ever used.
Design
DetailsPro
On the web I design in html, generally with Tailwind. I have used DetailsPro for some SwitftUI experiments.
Productivity
SavvyCal
Great tool for scheduling meetings while protecting my calendar and making sure I still have lots of time for deep work during the week.
Reminders
I switched from Things to Reminders because the iOS Shortcuts integration and sharing features make this the easiest way to collaborate on Todo lists with a family.
